Most learners will enter the program at this level. Your child will receive an assessment of a variety of skills including communication, social and play, and daily living skills. A functional behavior assessment will be conducted to address any behaviors of concern.
Our school readiness program will focus on all the skills necessary to help our clients be as independent as possible in an academic environment. An assessment will be conducted to determine the most crucial skills needed for your child's success.
Once our learners are ready to "graduate" from the clinical setting, they may qualify for transitional support in their school setting of choice.
Throughout the day children are brought together to work on following group instructions and peer play. Children are taught a number of skills that will need to generalize into future school settings including parallel, interactive and cooperative play, sharing and turn taking, and communicating with friends.
Occupational therapy is available for children ages 2-10 years. Services include fine motor work, adaptive daily living skills, and sensory integration therapy. Our sensory integration program helps children with sensory processing issues learn to regulate and respond appropriately to sensory input. We use a variety of techniques to help children develop the skills necessary to thrive in their environment.
Language (what we say) and speech (how we say it) services are available for children ages 2-10. Services begin with a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and an individualized treatment plan.
